It was just like, we’re doing this, it’s embarrassing, we’re in it together, cool.” There were no nerves or apologies or ‘Oh, I’m sorry I just elbowed your groin.’ There was none of that. We’re both very confident and feisty anyway, so when we did those scenes, we just did it 100 percent. “They’re never going to be easy, but what does make it easier is having someone who is as bold and feisty as you doing them opposite you,” she explains. Helpful, actually, because Pugh’s Katherine has a lot to be annoyed about.
